ID Requirements
Proving your identity
We are required to confirm your identity before you may join the credit union in line with the Anti-Money Laundering and related regulations.
When you complete our online membership application form you will be asked for details of your passport or driving licence and we will do an online identity check. If you don’t have these documents, or the online check is inconclusive, don’t worry, we will contact you requesting alternative identification documents.
Our identification requirements are that you produce proof of who you are and where you live.
You will have the opportunity to upload documents in your application, or via your online account. If you are not able to do this you can bring or post original documents to our branch at The Square, 53-55 Victoria Square, Bolton, BL1 1RZ. Or email to enquiries@wisewithmoney.org.uk.
We can offer a secure link to upload documents on request.
If you post original documents to us, there may be a charge for their secure return.
